Kotwal (Mahsul Sevak) recruitments: closing first

The Kotwal notices from district collectors are the nearest deadlines. Nashik lists 156 posts and closes on 17 October, Raigad and Sindhudurg also close on 17 October, and Thane closes on 27 October. The Raigad count differs across sources (11 or 19), so use the district notice. Qualification, age and method of applying are in each collector’s notice, and some are offline. Kotwal posts are local village-level roles with a defined honorarium or pay, and the residence of the candidate in the village or nearby is often a condition. Read the notice of your own district carefully and apply early.

GMC Chandrapur and SCILAL

The Government Medical College in Chandrapur has 20 Professor posts with a last date of 19 October, which will interest doctors with the required teaching experience. SCILAL lists 3 Officer posts with a last date of 21 October. Both are small and specialised, so check the notices for qualification and experience requirements before you apply.

MPSC Talathi: closed, exam date unclear

The Talathi recruitment covers 1,539 posts, and the application window closed in August 2026. Earlier reports pointed to a written exam on 25 October 2026 in OMR mode, while a later report says the combined exam moved to 3 January 2027. The reported qualification is a graduate degree with MS-CIT. Watch mpsc.gov.in for the admit card and the confirmed date, and keep preparing, because the syllabus does not change with the date.

MPSC Group C and Group B

The Group C joint prelims, announced through Advertisement 017/2026, covers posts such as Clerk-Typist, Tax Assistant, Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector, Industry Inspector and Technical Assistant. Reports say the vacancies were revised from 2,619 to 5,707 and the prelims is reported for 3 January 2027, though dates conflict across sources. The Combined (Group B) recruitment for 552 posts of State Tax Inspector, Assistant Section Officer and Police Sub Inspector had its prelims on 14 June 2026, with a result reported on 1 July. Qualified candidates should follow the mains schedule on the MPSC website.

Police Bharti: between cycles

The last drive covered about 15,631 posts, and applications closed after extension. The physical test admit card was released on 7 February 2026 and provisional selection lists have been published since late March. A new cycle of about 8,100 posts is expected around November and December 2026, but it is not an official notice. Qualification for most posts is 12th pass, with 10th pass for Bandsman, and the merit is based on a written test of 100 marks and a physical test of 50 marks. Use the time to build fitness and keep documents ready.

Zilla Parishad and BMC

Reports on ZP Bharti conflict: one mentions about 18,393 posts with applications till 25 August 2026, while another says dates are still to be notified. We could not confirm a current official notification, so check rdd.maharashtra.gov.in and your district ZP website. The BMC (Brihanmumbai) Group D recruitment for 115 Class IV posts on contract through the Nair and Cooper hospitals ran offline from 22 to 30 July and is closed. Do not confuse it with the Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation in Gujarat, which uses the same short form.

Preparing for Maharashtra state exams

Maharashtra commission exams generally test a combination of general studies and language skills, with Maharashtra-specific topics. Revise Maharashtra history, geography, polity and economy, along with current events. Build Marathi grammar and comprehension, because language papers are a scoring area. Practise previous MPSC papers, and take timed mocks in the pattern of your exam. Keep a daily current affairs habit.

Documents Maharashtra applicants should keep ready

  • SSC and HSC certificates and graduation marksheets.
  • Domicile certificate and, for non-creamy layer candidates, the NCL certificate valid for the year.
  • Caste certificate and validity certificate where required.
  • MS-CIT or other computer certificate for posts that require it.
  • Photograph, signature and Aadhaar.

Common mistakes

Candidates miss out when they apply in the wrong district, upload an expired NCL certificate, forget the computer certificate, or rely on social media dates. Always read the notice of your own district or post. If two sources give different dates, trust the official notice and our tracker only as a pointer.

How to apply

How to track Maharashtra notices without missing any

Maharashtra notices are spread across many websites: MPSC, the police recruitment portal, district collector sites, ZP and municipal sites. A practical method is to set one weekly slot, for example on Sunday evening, to visit these sites and note anything new in a single document. Add the last date to your phone calendar the moment you see a notice. Most candidates who miss a Maharashtra recruitment do so because the notice was in Marathi on a district site they did not check, not because they were unprepared.

Marathi language and exam preparation

Many Maharashtra recruitment exams require proficiency in Marathi, and written papers may be in Marathi or bilingual. If your Marathi is rusty, spend fifteen minutes every day reading a Marathi newspaper and practising grammar, such as sandhi, samas and vakprachar. For descriptive papers, practise writing short essays. Language marks can decide the final rank when many candidates have similar scores in the other sections.
