The first week of October brought a cluster of results, answer keys and scorecards, from state recruitment boards to national testing agencies. Most of the coverage we found comes from job portals, and the dates they give are not always the official ones, so this page is built as a tracker with a simple rule: use it to know what has been reported, then confirm every result on the website of the body that conducted the exam. We also explain what each kind of result means for you, what to do in the next 48 hours and how to deal with scorecards, merit lists and cut-offs without losing a stage you have already qualified for.
Last updated: 9 October 2026. Dates are as reported by job portals and may differ from the official notice. Confirm on the official website before you act.

UPSSSC Lekhpal: 28,409 shortlisted for 7,994 posts
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission is reported to have shortlisted 28,409 candidates for 7,994 Lekhpal posts. The ratio matters. Roughly three and a half candidates for every post means that the shortlist is only the first filter, and the next stage, which normally involves document verification and the final merit list, will reduce the number further. If your roll number is on the list, download the PDF, note your roll number and keep original documents ready, especially the caste certificate in the UP format and the educational certificates. Watch the commission’s notices for the verification schedule. Missing a verification date because you did not check the website is a mistake that costs seats every year.
UPSSSC Platoon Commander and Block Organizer
A job portal reports that the result for these posts was declared on 2 October 2026. For uniformed posts such as Platoon Commander, the process after the written result typically includes a physical test and document verification. For Block Organizer posts, the next stage is generally document verification. Your next step is to read the result notice for the stage instructions and the date range, and to prepare documents. Do not assume that you have been selected until the final list is published.
NTA UGC NET June 2026 re-exam and AIAPGET
The National Testing Agency is reported to have declared the UGC NET June 2026 re-exam result and the AIAPGET result on 2 October 2026. For UGC NET, the result decides eligibility for Assistant Professor or for Junior Research Fellowship with Assistant Professor eligibility, depending on your score and the category cut-off. Log in at ugcnet.nta.ac.in with your application number and date of birth, download the scorecard and save it. The qualifying certificate is issued separately, so keep an eye on the NTA notices. For AIAPGET, the scorecard is used for counselling and admissions in postgraduate Ayush courses, according to the agency’s notice.
AIIMS NORCET: Nursing Officer
The result of the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test is reported as declared on 2 October 2026. Qualified candidates usually go through the next stage as per the AIIMS notice, such as document verification and choice filling for the institutes. Read the notice for the dates, because these windows are short and missing the choice-filling stage can end your chance even after qualifying.
DSSSB TGT Sanskrit, post code 808/24
The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board is reported to have published the category-wise merit list for TGT Sanskrit, post code 808/24. To check it, open the DSSSB website, go to the results section, find the post code and download the PDF. Search the PDF with your roll number. If you are on the list, the next step is document verification. Keep your teaching qualifications, eligibility certificates and category documents ready.
HPSC ADO, RPSC Deputy Jailor, Bihar DElEd and TNPSC Group 1 answer key
Other items reported this week include the HPSC Agriculture Development Officer result and the RPSC Deputy Jailor result, both on 5 October, the Bihar DElEd result on 2 October and the TNPSC Group 1 answer key on 6 October. For the answer key, the commission normally opens a short window to raise objections with supporting documents, so check the exact dates and the fee per question. Do not raise an objection unless you have a reliable source.
How to read a result, a merit list and a cut-off
- Result: a list of roll numbers qualified for the next stage, or your score.
- Scorecard: your marks, often with section-wise details and category cut-offs.
- Merit list: candidates ranked by marks or by the scheme in the notice.
- Cut-off: the minimum marks for your category to move ahead. It differs by category, state and shift.
What to do in the first 48 hours after a result
- Download the result and scorecard from the official site and save two copies.
- Check the notice for the next stage, its date and the documents.
- Verify your details. If anything is wrong, write to the helpdesk with proof.
- Prepare originals and photocopies in the order of the checklist.
- If you did not qualify, review the cut-off and plan the next exam.
Avoid result-day scams
Fake sites and messages claim to give “direct links”, charge fees for “rank checking” or promise to change marks. No one can change your result, and official results are always free to see. Use only the official websites, and never share your OTP or password.

Cut-offs: why your friend’s marks tell you little
Candidates often compare marks with friends and conclude that they are in or out. That comparison is misleading because cut-offs depend on category, state or zone, the shift in which the exam was held and, sometimes, a normalisation formula. Two candidates with identical raw marks can have different outcomes if they belong to different categories or applied to different regions. The only comparison that counts is between your score and the cut-off for your own category and region, as published by the exam body.
If you missed the cut-off by a small margin
A narrow miss is painful but informative. Check whether the commission offers a re-evaluation or a scrutiny of the answer sheet, and note the fee and the deadline. In most computer-based exams, the response sheet and answer key are the main tools, and re-evaluation is rare. Use the margin as data: if you missed by two or three marks, tightening your accuracy in one section can change the outcome next time. Plan the next attempt immediately rather than waiting for months.
Keep a result file for every exam
Save the admit card, response sheet, answer key, result, scorecard and any notice in one folder per exam. Many recruitments take months or years to complete, and candidates are asked for old documents at verification or in court cases. A tidy folder saves time and trouble.
